A YOUNG man lies bleeding on the ground after a gang chased him into a front garden on a residential street and then stabbed him with an “enormous” blade .

Horrified neighbours watched as the 20-year-old mumbled “I’m going to die” after he was cornered by three teenagers outside a house in Wembley, North West London

An 80-year-old resident stood over the terrified victim, whose lung and liver were pierced in the savage ambush attack, until police and paramedics arrived.

He said he was just feet from the victim as he was hacked with an “enormous” blade.

The young man mumbled: “I’m going to die, I’m going to die” as he lay badly wounded on the paved yard, the witness said.

The OAP neighbour, who asked not to be named, told the Evening Standard: “There was blood spilling out of him. It was very traumatic.

“He as asking when the ambulance would turn up and said he could not breathe and he was dying.


“I found out later that the boy is under armed guard at hospital.”

Police said the victim was recovering in hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Three youths were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and the victim has also been arrested.

Two teenage suspects were detained after fleeing the Friday afternoon stabbing in a 4×4 parked outside a nearby house.

A silver BMW parked in the road was also damaged during the attack, with debris strewn across the road.

Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at 3.05pm on Friday August 5 to reports of a male stabbed in Rosslyn Crescent, Wembley.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a male suffering a stab injury.

“He has been taken to a central London hospital – his condition is not life threatening.

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”


Two men aged 18 and 19 have been bailed until next month and a second 18-year-old is still in custody.
